Organize an Event – A Planning Guide

Look Beyond the Media

Generating publicity is the key to any successful event. If cancer survivors in your community don’t know that NCSD is happening, your efforts to honor them will be unsuccessful. Organize your efforts to obtain media coverage, giving yourself deadlines for each task.

National publicity will be handled by the NCSD Foundation. Refer national media inquiries to the media hotline at (615) 791-3834 or e-mail info@ncsd.org. The Foundation will also be responsible for contacting the White House and the National Cancer Institute.

The 25th annual National Cancer Survivors Day is Sunday, June 3, 2012.
